Abstract

The role of the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, as described in the Code of Practice for England and Wales, is somewhat removed from the actual role practised by similar teachers in Northern Ireland. With the imminent introduction of the Code there, significant changes will have to be made if the requirements specifed by the Code are to be met.
