Abstract

Tá éagsúlacht láidreachtaí, cumas, réimsí spéise agus riachtanas ag páistí i mbunscoileanna lán-Ghaeilge. Is é is aidhm do Churaclam Teanga na Bunscoile ná tacú le gach foghlaimeoir teanga i mbunscoileanna in Éirinn. Is spéisiúil le sonrú, áfach, gur beag plé atá déanta go dtí seo ar an úsáid a d’fhéadfaí a bhaint as an Dearadh Uilíoch don Fhoghlaim (DUF) chun foghlaim an dara teanga, nó foghlaim na teanga breise, a chur chun cinn ná ar bhua an chreata chun tacaíocht a chur ar fáil do mhúinteoirí pleanáil agus ullmhú le haghaidh theagasc ionchuimsitheach na Gaeilge i suíomhanna tumoideachais. Is é is aidhm don pháipéar seo aghaidh a thabhairt ar an mbearna sin. Mar sin de, déanfar na trí phrionsabal a ghabhann leis an DUF a chíoradh sa pháipéar seo agus breathnófar go criticiúil orthu trí lionsa fhoghlaim an dara teanga nó na teanga breise sa chomhthéacs tumoideachais.
