Using Children's Literature in the Classroom to Teach About Disabilities

While there are many factors which faclitate the successful inclusion of pupils with disabilities within mainstream education, children's attitudes towards their peers with disabilities is a most important factor. Positive attitudes can be developed through the use of children's literature.
