Abstract

Tá fógairt fhorleathan idirnáisiúnta déanta ar na tairbhí a bhaineann le teicneolaíocht faisnéise agus chumarsáide (TFC) a úsáid chun daltaí a bhfuil riachtanais bhreise oideachais (RBO) acu a chuimsiú. Ach úsáid a bhaint as TFC, cuirtear ar a gcumas do dhaltaí ábhar an churaclaim a rochtain agus a gcuid foghlama a léiriú ar bhealaí éagsúla. Tugtar le tuiscint leis na sonraí teoranta atá ar fáil gur ann do thairbhí i ndáil le húsáid TFC le haghaidh daltaí dátheangacha. Is minic a bhíonn deacrachtaí ag scoileanna agus ag múinteoirí tumoideachais teacht ar acmhainní TFC cuí i dteanga theagaisc na scoile. Is amhlaidh an scéal go háirithe i gcás mionteanga. Baineadh úsáid as taighde modhanna measctha sa staidéar seo, agus féachadh ar na dúshláin a bhíonn roimh mhúinteoirí chun TFC a rochtain trí Ghaeilge agus ar na hacmhainní a bhíonn ag teastáil uathu sa réimse sin. Tugtar le tuiscint leis na torthaí gur tháinig feabhas áirithe ar an TFC atá ar fáil trí Ghaeilge, ach níl eolas ag múinteoirí áirithe ar na táirgí atá ar fáil mar sin féin. Ní mór forbairtí breise a dhéanamh sa réimse sin lena chur ar a gcumas do mhúinteoirí na dúshláin a bhíonn rompu a shárú.
